Now in its 16th year, the Dawgy Dash 5K Walk/Run raises funds for local rescue group Circle of Friends Animal Society (COFAS.) Despite having no shelter building and no paid employees, COFAS has rescued more than 11,000 pets since the race began! COFAS rescues healthy puppies and kittens, as well as adult and senior pets, pets with injuries or illnesses, and pets with disabilities. The Dawgy Dash was created to support this commitment to the animals most in need.

This family-friendly, pet-friendly 5K run through the streets of Greensboro, beginning and ending at Oconee Brewing, is a local tradition that gets better every year! It’s the main fundraiser for COFAS, and provides them with a much-needed infusion of funds to continue to help homeless animals in our community.

In the late 1960s, there were few rockstars bigger than Joe Cocker. Topped off by a legendary performance of The Beatles’ “With A Little Help From My Friends” at Woodstock, Cocker’s career was ripe to take off. Rising star Leon Russell assembled a band of LA’s top session players for a tour and subsequent live album. Known as “Mad Dogs & Englishmen”, it would become one of the great happenings in the history of rock music, catapulting both Leon and Cocker into the pinnacles of rock and roll stature.

Mad Dogs & Southerners is Atlanta’s Tribute to these two masterful musicians and to the beautifully decadent state of rock and roll in the early 1970s, before the music was antiseptically homogenized and stripped of its inherent danger and romance. Reexperience Cocker’s powerful, ‘take-no prisoners’ delivery on songs like “The Letter”, “Feelin’ Alright”, “Delta Lady”, “You Can Leave You Hat On”, “Unchain My Heart”, “You Are So Beautiful” and “Up Where We Belong”.

Wrapping up a very successful freshman year in the prestigious songwriting program at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, Anslee Davidson returns to her hometown of Greensboro, Georgia, for one night only. She has performed at Oconee Brewing Company solo and acoustic several times, but this show will be a special one as she is bringing her full band with her from Nashville. This is sure to be a fun-filled, high-energy performance as she celebrates her newest single release with fans, friends, and family.

Three days of FUN, and OBC is the location of a "BBQ Meat & Greet" with World BBQ Champion, Myron Mixon, on Saturday, August 24, from 11am-1pm! Myron will host a private showcase of his BBQ technique, as well as a book signing. His award winning spices and sauces will be available for purchase! We'll have drink specials, and The Burch will have BBQ specials!

Myron has won over 200 grand championships, resulting in over 1,800 total trophies, 30 state championships, 8 team of the year awards, and 11 national championships. To summarize: He's a big deal!

How to attend: Buy a Waterway Soiree individual pass, which will get you access to four curated "Hop" parties including the Myron Mixon event at OBC!

The Tams have been entertaining and thrilling audiences for over 50 years!

The iconic band is known for such hits as "Be Young, Be Foolish, Be Happy," "What Kind of Fool," "I've Been Hurt." The Tams have had several Gold Records. Formed in 2012, Bumpin’ The Mango has become Atlanta’s top funk and soul band. The wield a fiery five piece horn section, a rock solid rhythm section, and an incredible lead vocalist. The Producers are a new wave and power pop band from Atlanta that formed in the 80’s. The original line up still includes Van Temple on guitar and vocals, Kyle Henderson on bass and vocals, Wayne Famous on keyboards, and Bryan Holmes on drums and vocals.

Originally formed as a Beatles cover band named Cartoon, they changed musical directions and began performing their own material in nightclubs around Atlanta. The response to their music was so good that they were quickly signed to CBS subsidiary Portrait Records by producer Tom Werman, who had worked with Cheap Trick, REO Speedwagon, and Mother’s Finest among others.

Angie Aparo is an American musician and songwriter from Atlanta. Aparo began playing in a group called Angie's Hope in the early 1990s before going solo. After making that decision, Aparo chose to go out on the road touring with his acoustic guitar in the southeast.

In 2015, Atlanta-based singer-frontman Nathan Utz and guitarist Steve Taylor decided to form Pandora's Box Tribute - A Tribute To Aerosmith - due to their fondness for the band's music and because Nathan has an uncanny resemblance to Steven Tyler and very similar vocal qualities.

Tribute - A Celebration of The Allman Brothers Band is a powerful 8eight piece group that faithfully recreates the music of one of the finest bands of all time. Since founding in 2013, the Atlanta-based band has earned a reputation as the source for the authentic ABB sound throughout the southeast.

Tribute recalls that unique period in American rock when psychedelia ebbed and The ABB informed us what jazz, rock, country, and blues could sound like. Comprised of musicians with decades of performance experience, the members bring their shared love of The Allman Brothers Band to life when it comes time for hittin’ the note.

The members of multiple successful Atlanta bands have to come together to form Tattoo You. A tribute to the world’s greatest rock n’ roll band - The Rolling Stones - is a tall order. The members of Tattoo You approach the amazing catalog of music with a love of the band, a passion for the music, and a dedication to recreating these songs with the spirit and energy that they demand. There will be no wigs, costumes, or phony British accents. The focus is solely on the music, and the band looks forward to bringing you all the hits and lots and lots of deep cuts!
