Taylor Lamm. Co-Founder and master brewer. Taylor was born and raised in Augusta, Georgia. After graduating from the University of Georgia, he worked as a bank teller in Greensboro, Georgia. He pretty quickly decided that was not the career path for him, so he grew a beard and set on the journey of becoming a master brewer. He was an assistant brewer at Triangle Brewing Company in Durham, North Carolina, for two years. In 2014, he was selected as head brewer for in Greenville, South Carolina. 2017 will be big year for Taylor: In addition to opening Oconee Brewing Company, he and his wife, Michelle, are expecting their first child in March!
Nathan McGarity. Co-founder and project developer. After graduating from Valdosta State Univeristy with a degree in Marketing, Nathan McGarity began work with his father, John. He is an active member of the City of Jackson, Georgia, Downtown Development Authority. Nathan and his wife, Jessica, are the proud parents of three daughters and a son.
John McGarity. Project Developer. A fifth generation native of Henry County, Georgia, John McGarity is a graduate of the University of Georgia and served in the National Guard. He established his in 1995. John and his wife, Nan, a retired educator, have been married for 42 years. They have been blessed by three sons and four grandchildren.
Leslie Balog. Media Coordinator. She wanted her title to be “media empress” but was voted down. She is a graduate of Georgia State University, with a degree in English. Her voice (and laugh) can be heard in most of our videos. Her beagle and her future husband also make occasional OBC social media appearances. She’s a behind the scene kind of gal, but her work makes a big bang!
